The Light Seer's Tarot
The Light Seer's Tarot by Chris-Anne is just beautiful. I love this deck. It’s like a modern version of the classic Rider Waite Tarot. The cards are great quality. Large and smooth, printed on sturdy, thick cardstock. The art is gorgeous. As a visual artist I really appreciate the fine drawing and beautiful coloration in these illustrations. Each card is drawn carefully and with so much detail and integrity. It's easy to get a good feeling for the meaning of each card just by looking at the pictures. It’s closely based on the classic Rider Waite Tarot, using the same titles for each card. This makes it a good deck for beginners, because you can use the classic, historical descriptions to interpret a reading as well as the ones provided in the guidebook.
The guidebook it comes with is tiny, but somehow, they managed to fit 184 detailed pages into it. It’s packed with valuable insight relating to each card, black and white reference image of each card as well as a brief overview of the Major Arcana and minor suits, readings and Tarot spreads.
It all comes in a beautifully printed, sturdy lidded box.
Here’s a sample of the beautiful illustrations and rich colors. This deck has a very fresh, energetic and youthful feel to it. Although it includes the light and dark side of each card, the emphasis is strongly on the light side, hence it’s name. It has a very positive overall feeling to it. So if you are drawn to things that are more on the darker side, this may not be the deck for you.
Only downside is these cards are a bit stiff and slippery so they can be hard to shuffle. Still, I highly recommend this one, it’s easily my favorite of all the decks I have.
